About Father Peter Hocken

Father Peter Hocken was born in 1932 and ordained as priest for the Catholic Diocese of Northampton, England in 1964.
He received the STL degree from the Accademia Alfonsiana in Rome in 1971, and taught moral theology in the Birmingham diocesan seminary from 1968–1969, and 1971–1976.
He received his PhD in 1984 from the University of Birmingham, England and was the Chaplain to the Bishop of Northampton from 1997–2001.
A British citizen, Father Peter has been privileged to minister around the world, with bases in:

• England (1964–1976)
• United States of America (1976–1996)
• England (1996–2002)
• Austria (2002–10.06.2017)
  Father Peter pased away to the Lord on 10 of June 2017.

Father Peter Hocken currently lives in Hainburg, Austria.

Father Peter has been active in the charismatic movement since 1971 and has served as Executive Secretary of the Society for Pentecostal Studies (1988–1997).

Father Peter is a member of unofficial Catholic – Messianic Jewish dialogue from 2000.
He is also a member of the Theology Commission for the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal since 2003.

In 2007 an association was established for his ministry: the "Verein Mysterium Christi".

In 2008 Mysterium Christi purchased the house in Hainburg where Father Peter now lives.
Father Peter is also a member of committee for Gatherings in the Holy Spirit between Catholics and independent charismatic leaders.
